At Katapult Future Fest 2026, we have tested the BFF Pattern Innovation game. Three tables of 10+ participants each slipped into roles and contributed multipe kinds of capital to enable the development of Bioregional Financing Facilities in a hypothetical (but somewhat real) bioregion with a portfolio of 8 different projects.

We learned a lot from the experience and are amazed how quickly the game lets participants enter the knotty and difficult conversations that we face when developing real BFFs with our partners.
